Tropical Wings Zoo is proud to be one of the best interactive zoo attractions in Essex and boasts one of the finest tropical houses in the UK, a miniature oasis where you can experience a tropical feel on any day of the year. There’s fun for all the family during our interactive daily encounter programme of keeper talks and animal feeds whether its feeding a wallaby, brushing a goat, taking a closer look at the lemurs or holding a bug!  Or see our most recent exhibit the beautiful Capybara in their new enclosure. With indoor soft play and outdoor activity play areas plus Tractorland and Diggerland rides there is something for everyone.

I have visited Tropical Wings with my family 3 times now and it never gets boring!
If you live in Essex, then I definitely recommend you visit this place!
It is very warm in the Butterfly House though!

Tropical Wings is home to one of the finest tropical houses in the UK; a miniature oasis where you can experience a tropical feel on any day of the year!  We are one of the very few UK tropical houses to have free-flying butterflies all year round but it is in Springtime that it really comes to life.  Longer, brighter days trigger our butterflies to start their breeding cycle and the many tropical flowers begin to burst into life.  Hundreds of butterflies create a kaleidoscope of colour as they jostle for the best flowers on which to feed.  Our predominant butterfly is the Postman Butterfly from South America and hundreds of these highly variable insects can be seen between May and October.  The impressive Owl butterflies offer year round interest and actually become more active in duller weather, towards dusk.  With their characteristic "eye-spots" on the wings, gather on fruit tables to drink the fermenting juices of over-ripe bananas and oranges.

Free-flying birds such as Speckled Mousebirds Colius striatus scurry through the branches, the Bronze Sunbirds Nectarinia kilimensis, our smallest species of bird dart continuously through the foliage, watch out for the male who will chase off any other birds that come too close to his nest. The stunning pair of Red-crested Touracos Tauraco erythrolophus are extremely rare in the wild and we are hoping that they will breed for us this year so we can make an important contribution to saving this species from extinction. There are also several aviaries housing a delightful pair of Red-flanked Lorikeets Charmosyna placentis, Green Iguana Iguana iguana and Red-foot Tortoises Chelonoidis carbonaria and Japanese Quail Coturnix japonica running around the floor are our very own pest control squad! They eat small insects that may be harmful to our plants.

The calming sound of the waterfall draws your attention to a large pond stocked with some huge Koi Carp. Fish enthusiasts love to watch these giants gracefully cruising through the waters while kids (of all ages!) can delight in the frenzied feeding when you throw them some fish-food pellets (available from the gift shop). Also see our pair of Hottentot Teal Anas hottentota, these ducks are a type of dabbling duck, which means that they get their food from the surface of the water.

Hopefield Animal Sanctuary - Fun Day Out With Family

Unfortunately Jessica was still at school so it was just me, Charlie, Dylan, my Mum and Bestie Angie who visited Hopefields,
We have been here lots of times and we love to see the friendly animals, it's such a relaxing environment and much prefer it to Old Macdonalds Farm, also in Brentwood, Essex.

It's open daily 1pm til 4pm.
Hopefield is unique in its mission to provide a ‘home for life’ to all of its resident animals. The sanctuary provides a safe haven to animals that need it, offering neglected and unwanted animals the life they deserve; free from fear and harm.
Hopefield cares for a variety of animals including horses, donkeys, goats,sheep, pigs, chickens, geese, ducks, cats and more recently has become home to smaller animals such as rabbits, guinea pigs and chinchilla’s. The sanctuary even has its own resident bull called Max, who loves nothing more than being tickled between his horns!

3 Techniques to Darken Very Light Eyebrows

Angie wanted her eyebrows a little bit darker, so we tried 3 different ways to darken them.
First we used an eyebrow pencil by B.
Then we used the makeup Revolution eyebrow kit in Light/Medium, we used the lightest shade which we both agreed look best.
We also tried to dye them with an eyebrow tint but that didn't take very well even though we ended up leaving it on for more than 10 minutes, it didn't change the eyebrow colour just the skin underneath =-/

Jessica had a krazy hair school disco- Hair Chalks & Pink Wig

Jessica's school had a krazy hair school disco so we used the hot huez temporary hair chalk compacts to make her hair pink and purple. To use it you just press, slide & colour. The 3rd colour was green, the purple colour worked best.

It cost £4.99 from Wilkinsons but tbh I thought this product wasn't very good, I wish I just brought a bottle of coloured hair spray instead.

Luckily we had a long pink wig that I plaited all over so it looked kraaaaazy!!

Spring Beauty Box by Glamour - Latest In Beauty

I love this box!! All the products were brilliant, I'm so pleased with it!

In this video I used the products that were in this box to do my makeup.

I loved the BeautyUK High Brow All In One Brow Definition Kit, it has a light, medium and dark eyebrow shadow and the light one was perfect for me now that I have blonde hair. It also has clear wax, an angled brush and tweezers.

The Nuxe Creme was soooo nice and made my skin feel so soft and hydrated which I used the night before.
It says Nuxe Creme Fraiche 24hr soothing and rehudrating fresh mask which you leave on for 10 minutes and rinse of with water for radiant skin and it didn't break me out in spots!

I used the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail Enamel + Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Diamond Top Coat. I have been wearing this nail varnish all day and it hasn't chipped at all, I really liked this nail polish!!

I also received a Moroccanoil Intense Hydrating Mask for hair.

I reeeally liked the Kiko Long Lasting Stick Eyeshadow, I didn't apply it very neatly but it was super easy to apply. It says "create the ultimate eye look with one of these rick, metallic shades. Super wearable for all eye colours, the light, velevty texture stays put for up to eight hours.

The Modelco Creme Rouge Cheek and Lips in Just Peachy was also amazing and you only need the tiniest amount to give your cheeks a healthy glow.

I also received a Rimmel Oh My Gloss Lip Gloss which was very pretty!

And a sample miniature Elie Saab perfume called L'Eau Couture which was nice, perfect to pop into your handbag!

You can also create your own box, there is a list of products you can add so to get the 20% off code (SPRING20) I had to spend £22 so I added ARCHEIA multi-vitamin and minerals capsules.
And a DHC Deep Cleansing Oil which didn't break me out with spots either and a Cherry Kiss lip balm by Rose&co.
